Good point, Will, Ford's 12-year delay in fixing the transistor
heat-related failure problem in their gas-engine ignition unit cost
Ford stockholders over $2-Billion and eventually cost Ford's way
overpaid CEO his job..

Toyota and Honda were among the first Japanese companies to take Dr. W.
Edward Deming's advice seriously and get the bugs out of a vehicle
before it was sold to the public. This was a revolutionary change for
the Japanese since is was a drastic change from the tradition of
"ringeshow", a Jananese word meaning that only the dai ichi (#1)
manager of a company can make even a neededchange in the design of a
product.
