I remember a Dentron I think it was that 
used four 6LQ6. I was a new ham & 
apparently wasn't loading & tuning properly 
and kept frying the tubes. I'd bring them 
back to Radio Shack for exchange & after 
the third trip I wasn't allowed back in the 
store for a tube replacement anymore.
