Hmmm,  there is quite a significant increase in the output power of  this 
particular amp (AMERITRON AL-1200) between 85 watts of drive and 100 watts  of 
drive, so it seems that the tube continues to make power from 85-100 watts of  
drive. At that point (100 watts of drive) the grid current is about half of the 
 maximum permissible.  I contend that the amp would continue to make power  
right up to the maximum permissible drive level of 130 watts.

Ron, hook that baby up to your FT-1000 and run it up with 130 watts and let  
us know what it does.
