At one time around 1984 to 1987 my aunt (Dads sister) worked at Motorola in 
Chicago. She set me up with a guy there who would cross parts for me. I forgot 
who he was now as it's been so long. At the time, I was doing TV service work, 
and repaired a lot of Sears TV's. They were bad to have Motorola use their in 
house numbers so you would have to buy parts through them. He allowed me to get 
around this problem, and save a ton of money. Other companies like to do this 
too. They can set their prices higher than what the other parts sell at. If you 
don't know what they really are, what can you do but maybe experiment.
