I thought a 3x3 was a piece of lumber that used to measure 3" x 3" but
nowadays is probably 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 or less (inflation).-WB2WIK/6

What if the tube in question is a 4CX1000 and not a 4-1000?

Why not just spell it out like most of the world is used to seeing rather
than trying to be cryptic or do short hand. More letters from the keyboard
aren't that expensive. :>)
