So I see you have considered that.  But it might not 
require very much filtering;  perhaps 10 to 20 dB of
rejection of the broadcast station would be enough.
While passing your own signals with no particular
attenuation, of course.  The filter might be as simple
as a simple highpass Tee or Pi, three elements.
I can help in the "paper" design.

In lieu of "fixing" the amplifier(s) highpass filtering 
would be the cure.
