Hunter made 3 different linears called "Bandit". The Hunter Bandit 2000A came
out in 1962; the Hunter Bandit 2000B came out in 1965; and the Hunter Bandit
2000C came out in 1968. Hunter also made the Hunter L 1000A that came out in
1963.
The 2000A was available in color schemes to match either Drake or Collins at no
additional cost.
The manuals for all 3 of the Hunter Bandit linears are available on BAMA at
http://bama.sbc.edu/hunter.htm
or the mirror site at

The location of the Hunter plant is indicated as Iowa City, Iowa.

The Bandit I, II and III were built by D&A in Scottsbulff Nebraska. Hunter
built much higher quality amplifiers using? higher power sweep tubes at higher
plate voltages and something new at the time, (for CB amplifiers), called
'BIAS"!??? ?I have no record of a Hunter branded amplifer called the Bandit,
but it would be foolish for me to say that it didn't exist. if you have any
information that you would be willing to share, I would appreciate all
information I could get on it , (especially a scanned copy of the owners manual
and schematic), as I have been?considering writing a book on the subject of
those old seep tube amplifiers..
