The only caveat I'd put on the above is that I have seen 409 eat epoxy
paint very slightly (on military comms gear, back in 1970). I don't know
if the formulation has changed, and haven't had contact with the gear
since I was debriefed. I suspect it's not a concern in this particular
situation, but wanted to make you aware, Just In Case.
