Alpha 89, or the 87a, uses the Eimac 3cx800a7 tube ( 2 of them). BE CAUTIUOS
OF ANY AMP USING THE 4CX800 TUBE, VERY HARD TO GET. TenTec Centurion is a great
amp using the 3-500 tube 2 of them. Not rated a full 1500 watts but if 1100-
1200 watts will do it has many features for the money as well as instant on and
tubes that are fairly cheap.
