Probably a better reason since they stayed with the A7 for all those years.

They tried to go with the Z7 years ago when it was a YU-181 but Eimac
decided to not go to regular production. Dunno what changed their mind,
probably several potential customers beat on them.
Hopefuly the industrious Chinese will clone it at a third the price(-;
Ameritron owners could also switch to the 3CPX1500A7 pulls or the regular
8877 with minimal fuss. Id guess I'll be doing plenty of those swaps before
long.
