I would do all switching with relays.  You can then use any old single pole 
rotary switch with diodes to implement the switching logic.  Added benefit is 
that it's easy to implement computer control if you ever want to do that.

Hi Ulf,
  When I need to implement that feature I just use a longer shaft on the 
existing switch and add a wafer.

  Do you know what series your switch is from?

  I have extra Centralab (1/4" double flat) shafts and wafers some of which are
