Are you really sure you want to do that or would you prefer wearing out the 
3 8874's faster?

I run my CA at 1200W which is not much lower than the 1800W it would be 
capable of with the mod; I can live with the 1.8dB.

Doing a low drive mod on Alpha 76CA.

Saw five 470 ohm 2W composition carbon as recommended, hard to find.

Will modern carbon film or metal film resistors work or are the inductive 
enough to screw things up?

It has the 15 pack of 220 carbons and it looks like someone cut off 9 so it 
is better but not quite up to the 5/470 pack
