I don't know about more aesthetically pleasing, but to me the dryer hose 
is far too fragile. I'd pick the hose like we use with drops for the big 
all shop dust collectors.  Of course the fan used for suction on one of 
those would provide plenty of air if turned around to blow instead of 
suck.  OTOH you'd want the fan in another room. Some are the size of a 
snow blower and "Loud".  The hose is available from Ace, Lowe's, and 
Home Depot as well as many other sources. It is normally black and 
considerably heavier and much more robust than dryer hose. I think it 
typically comes in either 4 or 5" with adapters to smaller sizes.
