I used stainless steel hose clamps for the cathode connection on my 160-meter
amplifier using a pair of GI-7bT Russian tubes.  The heaters were the size of
the plate cap on a 6146 so I used a couple of them.

For a pair of GS-31b tubes (160-meter through 10-meter amplifier) I made clamps
out of copper sheet.  However, hose clamps would work well for the GS-31B,
GS-35b, etc.

Too risky for my taste. Make a clamp. Even alligator clips.  :-)
