Mostly Dayton and Deerfield/Nearfest plus a few local (or if Im up in Maine or VT for something else) ones sporadically. No more Dayton as it got tiresome and boring as quality went down and prices often exceeded fleabay.
Sometimes Craigslist has some real surprises.

And like you probably, I get offers out of the blue.

$$$ I've never had the occasion of picking up any flotsam at a hamfest, but I have on several of my wreck diving expeditions while climbing the ladder to Master Scuba Diver certification. What hamfests have you been going to Carl?

But other intelligent people cruise gracefully through the flotsam and catch
the prizes.

Sometimes intelligent people avoid flea markets, not to be mixed up with
the
crowd.

Been there done that and is why I bought a 3000 W CCS RCA load, built by
Bird, with a tapered snout and rated to 1000 mc at a hamfest almost 30
years

ago.
It included a seperate 5" wattmeter in a cabinet, and a set of 250 and
1500W slugs for the 400-1200mc range, total of 4 elements. It works fine
at
1296 with barely a tickle of VSWR and is still useable at 2304.

All for $125 since others passed on it as they werent intelligent enough
to
realize it works fine at VHF and below also (-; This was even before no
coders and make believe Extras !!
