Glenn that is good news for me at least, I have not tried to contact Alpha
for a couple years. Last time was a lady that answered calls, and
would not
even allow my calls to be forwarded to a tec. All went through her and
the
standard reply was to send the amp in for repair.
That is not an option from KH6 with shipping rates. Especially for simple
repairs.
John was a "friend" and he sold me the amp when he was leaving Alpha at
special
price etc. I talked with John in later years at MD Anderson in Tx when
he was
getting treatment for Melanoma, which my wife was also there for. Sad to
say they both succomed to the disease shortly after.
You may have well seen this amp if you were there in 1998, it was the
first
of the 99 amps, it had been on a DX trip, not sure but perhaps to Burma ?
would have to look up the old info.
Will drop an email, thanks appreciate the updated info..

Merv, that may have been the case a year or two ago when the "front
office" was deflecting calls, but I'm at Alpha right now and we answer the
telephone every day. I've been working here since 1998 when I was hired by
John Brosnahan.
Send email to the company address and I'll supply info you need, most is
available on the web site.

Have you asked Alpha lately for any info at all??
I have made many many calls to Alpha and 99 percent of them are
for naught. To talk to a tec was next to impossible, to gather any
info from anyone was also next to impossible, my experience, if you
have had better, good on ya mate.
