The problem with the computer modes is that they require a computer in addition 
to the radio.

Further proof that time marches on. JT65, good as it is, has been
overtaken by JT9, which uses about a tenth the bandwidth and according
to the author is about 2 dB better with weak signals. Otherwise it is
virtually identical. Progress. 

The point is not to be tied to one mode just because in the olden days
it was the best. I'm not anti-CW, in fact I'm closing in on Honor Roll
CW and I prefer it for DXing, but in an emergency give me my Nerf
mike. :-)
