how much all those fancy watt meters cost.  If you have a Bird
43 or something else already, get a $30 camera, put it in front of
your watt meter and connect it to your computer or network like any
modern surveillance camera used for home security systems.

The true cost of  BIRD  for the ham is realy large. Due to the spec of 5% of FULL SCALE..means that one must have a stack of BIRD slugs to get multi levels of power VS frequency covered.

One of the beauties of the LP-100 is the spec...  "Power accuracy is better than 5% at any frequency from ~1W to maximum, 3% typical with NIST traceable factory calibration"""   no slugs necessary.....
