Hi and thanks for reading.
I have a Kenwood TS 940 and want to computer control. I need to find the
IF-10B interface to put inside the rig.
Is there any source for the interface?
Any source for a kit?
Any homebrew plans around?
Any word on Kenwood re-supplying it?
This may have been addressed many times in the past, but I've just gotten
into CQ-Contest.
Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

Tried to get on during a busy weekend and hand out a few mults.

Totals 152 70 = 10,640
Started scratching out a few Q's on paper and ended up making
more than I thought I'd have time at first. Yes, Tree, I did dupe you
on 20 (sorry about that) and you were there when you thought.
Gave Ron/AB4RU (just over the border in Georgia) a 6 band run
160-10, and was glad to see some propagation to the Western
reaches so the 6/7's could get SC on 15 and 20 meters at the
same time as I was 'moved'.
Hope to catch ya'll in NA CW Sprint this coming weekend. Spent
this past weekend in the mountains of North Carolina enjoying the
cold and snow and a beautiful night at the Grove Park Inn. We
stayed in a room next to 2 rooms that had plaques on them saying:
This room was used by F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great
Gatsby, etc etc, If you ever get to the Asheville, N.C., vicinity
you MUST go see this place.

As usual, a casual contest effort hampered by poor conditions and low
power. The aurora was out in force Friday and Saturday so didn't
spend much time at it. Sunday afternoon conditions were as good as
they ever are and spent almost all afternoon S&Ping any new station
that would pop up out of the QRM. Lots of loud signals on 20 and
even worked a handful of guys on 15. WS7I and WU3V/5 were beacons
through the whole contest. Unfortunately 40 & 80 never did open up
and 20 didn't get going until Sunday. Lots of fun and it should be
even better next year.

Got on late for a short while. 20 was nearly dead when I got on at
about 0035 after having been wide open earlier in the day. 40 was
its usual messy self with lots of noise/QRM. Big signal award
goes to Ken, K6HNZ, who nearly sent my S meter needle across the
room on 40. He was head and shoulders over everyone. CU on CW.

Bummer of a weekend. Conditions seemed like they should be ok Friday,
but had problems getting a run. Noticed the SWR was aciting up now
and then. When I went to 40 it was better. Was looking good. Quit
about 11 pm local. Went to bed to get up and try my luck at Asia on
40 at 1200 UTC. Found LOTS of JA's passing out 599-001 ... what's going
on here, none were answering. Found the ZK3MM and put him in the log.
Sure wished the JA's stuck around to give me the 599-002. Went back to
bed until sunrise to try my hand at the high bands.
Saturday morning it seemed like it was in the toliet, and the SWR
was acting up. Like I could hardly copy WS7I, and normally he is LOUD
here. Next thing, smoke is comming out of the amp. rats.
Stop and rip open the amp. Lost a relay and a couple resistors.
Checked things out on the transciever and both the A4 and R5 were high
SWR. Went outside and disconnected what I thought was the coax to the
beam and water came running out. Checked the color, yep, it's black
not green so it must be coax and not garden hose. The R5 seemed out to
lunch also. You know, the front yard really needs to have the weeds
whacked down, so I get out the weed wacker. Take down the R5. Checked
the R5 at the R5 connector and all seem fine. Checked the coax from
the R5 to the switch. Hey, this looks okay. Some more checking around
and I found a bad right angle coax fitting in the shack. Put the R5 up
and and it played fine on the transciever. It was getting dark so I tried
40 on the HF2V Saturday night, but not much luck. Compared to the A4, the
HF2V never did play that well. Tried the R5 barefoot Sunday, but not much
activity.
Well, next year will be better. Hopefully ARRL DX will be alot better.
Ray, I liked my score a lot more before I ran WPXSCORE.EXE.
