I have owned an FT1K for several years now and this was my first serious
attempt at NAQP cw. I turned down the power output to around 125-150 watts
for the contest, as I was supposed to. I NEVER felt like I was at a
disadvantage. My feeling is that if you run higher power, you are only
cheating yourself.
No regrets here. I sleep at night.
