Awhile ago, I proposed on the thread that I didn't think you should spend
time contesting unless you loved it.
Imagine my surprise when I read the following statement by NASCAR stock car
driver Mark Martin:
"I don't love to race," Martin said. "I love to win. I don't race to drive.
I don't like driving cars. I don't like driving cars fast. I like winning.
That's why I do it.
"I wouldn't go to the race track ever just to take a car around the
track. Ever. That's not why I drive race cars. I drive race cars to win,
not because
it's fun to drive the car. That's me."
