I had the same experience during the recent CQ160 SSB. I found a hole,
asked twice if the frequency was in use, no reply both times, called CQ for
about 3 minutes and made a few contact, The "owner of the frequency" came
on and told me it was his frequency. I said that I got no replies when I
enquired if it was qrl a few minutes earlier. He said that "I must have
been a little slow on the footswitch, "chuckle, chuckle." I moved. From now
on, I'm not moving.
