[CQ-Contest] Rig for Portable Operation?

Thinking about getting a rig for taking on the road with me for
portable use, and was wondering what folks are using and/or prefer.
This is more for casual operating than anything else.  I've taken
an FT-890 on the road (a long time ago to YJ and YB), but don't
have that rig anymore.

Here's the list I came up with:
IC-706 (which flavor?)
FT-100/100D
TS-50

or somewhat larger/older rigs:
FT-890
TS-570

have I missed something obvious?

I'll summarize for those interested.
