SHAME = a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt

As long as "we" are unable to read other's thoughts, "we" will never
actually know what's there, unless "they" tell us? My reference is not
toward "self-spotting", but against every "alleged" violation! Self-spotting
may be easier to "trace" than "using 500 watts and claiming low power", but
it is no more of an infraction? It's difficult to have any admiration for
stations that "claim" low power for their entry, and...."when seen in DX
pileups have the same signal strength", and even post to a reflector, "had
to use my amp. to work XXXXX for a new one"? These same "alleged" violators
seem to have no conscience, as "they" have absolutely no problem accepting
any/all awards and proudly displaying them for all to see! When people are
"shameless", there is no amount of "shame" that can alter their style? Until
the contest sponsors enforce "In all cases, the decisions of the Awards
Committee are final", and those same contest sponsors have "the courage of
their convictions", nothing will change? I never have, or never will,
condone "cheating", but at the same time I can't understand why it is
necessary to devote so much time and effort to prove it, unless the contest
sponsors are willing to act, when presented the proof?
I still believe in "innocent until proven guilty"!
C'Ya, Shelby
