Pretty much the same here in central Illinois. I was with the K9CU group
in Urbana. I worked 20 CW until 1 AM when the band started to get weak
and I only heard 3 or 4 signals of stations I'd already worked. I got a
few hours "sleep"in my car. The next morning I made some more QSO's on 20
CW but checked out 15 CW and worked maybe half a dozen stations. That was
about all I heard. 10 was dead the whole time.
I did have fun at the satellite station for a while with AO-40.
I think I was the only CW op at our FD this year. We only had one 40 meter
dipole up and it was being used on SSB the entire contest. I never got to
work 40 CW. :-(
It was great to work CO0US. I also heard a W3??/ZL working USA FD
stations but didn't work him.
