spotted alot.
Like I showed last time, here are the top 10 spot getters from spotters
who only made one spot in the contest:
These stations got the most spots from people who only made one spot in
the whole contest. there were 1429 spots that fell into this catagory
out of 35106 i logged in the contest. These were for 709 different dx
stations. So the average dx station that got spotted by the 'single
spotters' was spotted 2.01 times.
The count of single spots from all sources is what is in the first
column below.
The second column shows the number of those spots that were input from
dxsummit.
The third column shows the total spots for each station from all
spotters(the list above).

HA5A is an interesting one. 44% single spotter spots, but none from
dxsummit.

again, it is good to see that very little fake spotter activity seems to
be going on from the regular cluster networks. There do seem to be some
who think they can still hide behind dxsummit though. It would appear
that some
of the fake spotters using dxsummit are getting a bit smarter, less of
them seemed to show up as single spotters which may mean they are using
calls that they see spotting other stuff so they don't stand out as
much... but the ip addresses never lie. At some point it is going to be
more work to generate fake spots for yourself than it helps your
operation. One thing that makes this point is that ii2b was spotted by
iz2bkc 32 times on dxsummit, but only 24 of them actually made it around
the world, the rest were probably stopped by dupe filters because they
had already been spotted.

Obviously w3lpl was having fun with his new node and generated over 1300
spots for the weekend! IZ2BKC made it to the top though with his 24
spots for ii2b, he did spot some other stuff, he made one spot for 5u5z,
and one for dii2b (oops)... and he changed identity to iz2bkc-9 to spot
ii2b 3 more times... friend or foe?
If you were wondering about big spotters, w3lpl was the winner by far,
more than doubling k3lr's 660 spots.
