I am really starting to get sic of this debate, I am telling you it
sounds worse than a group of kindergarten children.

This whole debate is just about jealousy, "Daddy he has a 5 kilowatt
amplifier, I have to have one to", "Buuu, he is using rotating towers an
I just have regular ones, that is not fair", "Mommy Mommy, he has 6
stacked tribanders, i want that to"....

Contesting IS not only about operating it is also about buildning a
station, and trying to improove that as well. If someone is using 10KW i
don't just give a damn, I know, because I can do the maths that he could
be maby 10dB stronger than me just running 1,5 KW, I don't think he gets
more QSOs than I if I am 59 +30 and he 59 +40.

This is a simple equation you have to learn taking your license, And if
someone would be able to run 100 KW I would not mind either, I just
shake my head and hope the guy stays alive, boy if something went wrong
with that final he would blow out of his chair.

Anyway, guys, let people do what they wan't you can not always be equal
to everybody, build your own station, have fun in the contests, that's
what its all about! Nothing more nothing less, this is a hobby!

This is advice from a guy who will be turning 22 this year, mature
enough to understand that this debate is plain silly.

Actually, it appears to me he is suggesting that one is legal, and one
is not. ERP achieved through antenna gain, done with the consent of
your tower/antenna approval authority is legal. 10Kw at the shack side
of the coax is not.

The last time I looked, better antennas are always encouraged.

You're suggesting that so long as the same ERP is achieved that's fine,
regardless of whether it's done legally or illegally. I don't personally
agree with that point of view but in any case, the guy who puts up a lot
of antennas sometimes then goes and decides to run excess power as well.
Resulting in the sort of gross signals we've all heard here in Europe,
and often deaf to all but the loudest callers.
