This is a problem that has been around EVER since the first 'helpful'
database tool came into usage in ham radio computing.

The problem does not need to be addressed. WHY? There are MORE than
adequate penalties in place for those who get 'burnt' by NOT checking what
the PC displays.

Because the very fact that the person who makes the error gets 'DINGED' with
a NIL/BUST penalty is MORE than enough punishment and penalty. Why, some
folks MIGHT lose a multiplier or two that costs them a clean sweep OR a
score which MIGHT put them in the TOP TEN or the like.

So.. let folks 'believe' what the PC says and let them reap the rewards of
failing to double check the PC by actually copying what is sent.

This is a tempest in a teapot.
