My choice is using two filing cabinets as legs (get storage in the drawers)
and make a top from two sheets of plywood, cut to your requirement. Cover with
formica (or glass) with XYL pictures under it. :-) Gives plenty of space and
very strong. I use one for my main computer desk 3x8'.
