IMHO:
1. Icom IC765
2. Kenwood TS850
Both have worked well for me especially with optional filters installed
(INRAD custom installed narrow SSB filters in both IF's for me in my
IC765). I prefer the 765 over the 850 due to the built in power supply and
larger buttons and knobs. The product reviews in QST give both a high rating.
