I agree with your point 100%, Steve, but Fargo might be an unfortunate QTH
to illustrate the point --- how about Moorhead, MN?

By some mysterious means, if you relocate a Moorhead station 100 feet
across the Red River to Fargo you get an immediate 20db bump in signal
strength.  <BSEG>
