Sometimes a simple solution is easier than 50 pounds of ferrite and rolls of
aluminum foil.
Right click anywhere on a blank portion of your desktop, then click on
properties, then click on settings.
This will take you to the video setup screen in any version of windows. Next
click on advanced. depending on which version of windows you are using click on
the monitor settings. Inside the monitor window is refresh rate. While
listening to your favorite portion of the band change the refresh rate of your
monitor. You should hear the monitor noise disappear. You have not eliminated
the noise you have moved it to a different portion of the band.
The only way to totally eliminate the noise is to replace the old style CRT
monitor with an LCD monitor.

Any suggestions would be very helpful. . .

PS: I did wrap all of my exposed coax with alluminum foil which dropped the
interference a little bit but not much. Also checked all of the PL-259 solder
joints and they are good.
