I have to agree with Ken, although I have been a ham for 50 years and a life
member for 40 years. I may not be a real contester, I suppose. I really like
getting my QST, even though the league irritates me sometimes. I have
learned I don't always get my way.

With all due respect, this is probably because you have been a licensed
ham for a very long time :-) I've been licensed for 15 years and an ARRL
member for about 12. I still find plenty of interesting articles to read
in QST, and I fondly remember as a new ham devouring every column inch of
the magazine, as I'm sure new hams, even new contesters, must be doing
today.
