Yes, they do. And so does the crowd up on 14.300. This weekend I had
instances on both frequencies. "Can you move, you are on the SSTV
frequency?" Me "really?, I am on 14.227.5 and asked if the frequency
was in use?" nothing.then a 20 over SSTV sigs on my frequency instead
of 14.230.
Then later I am on 14296.8. "Can you move down a little? You are
QRMing the maritime emergency frequency"..me "really? Is there a
declared emergency?" "no, but if there was one you'd be QRMing it"
"well, sorry but there isn't one and I am over 3 kcs away which gives
you 6kcs of bandwidth.I think that's quite enough in this contest"

I have come to realize that there is no operator more inconsiderate in
all of ham radio than the "goon squads" of 14.300 and SSTV and oh yes,
add the RTTYers who just drop in our "their special calling frequency"
after you have been CQing for over an hour.
Contesters inconsiderate? I am sure we have our share, but we take 99%
of the bad press and aren't dishing out 1/3 of the garbage going on. We
need a better PR guy in my opinion...
