That is not correct ... Canadian call signs DO NOT indicate the actual
province and we DO NOT have to sign / if not in the call sign prefix
province.  Check the Canadian regulations.

I was sending PE. Some programs use PE, some use PEI. PE is one fewer
letter
to say.

Unlike in the U.S., Canadian calls do indicate the actual province. VY2
is
Prince Edward Island, whether you abbreviate it PE or PEI. If you get
the
province right, you won't get dinged.
