Hi Tim,

I'm scratching my head a little bit....how is the logging software going 
to know what frequency the transceiver is tuned to?  Perhaps we need 
some additional information what you're trying to do.

That said, N1MM Logger ( http://n1mm.hamdocs.com/tiki-index.php ) does 
allow one to manually input a frequency.  But having the software 
control the radio has many more advantages than simply reading frequency.
