Hi Mats,
TS 590 is indeed a nice contest radio. But unfortunately operator can change 
(intentionally or unintentionally) setting in the menu to make it clicking 
on CW. That cannot happen with K3. CW wave form is hard coded in the 
firmware and no operator can change it. That is why K3 has been mentioned 
here so many times as model radio.
Sure there are other reasons that may lead to poor CW signal. Some of them 
were mentioned by K9YC. It is always easier to make something worse then 
make it better.
