In defense of the SCP and Stu, K6TU, who maintains it, the SCP contains only callsigns. There are no names in the SCP database.

I suspect you are referring to a call history file, supported by some flavors of contest logging software. There is no individual maintaining that. Some clubs and individuals have put together their own versions of call history files. Use at your own risk.

Good one Gary. I also recall MORK from one year and LOCUST, I’m sure we could go on
and on…..point made Ria ! J hi hi

You can’t have it both ways. Complain about sending RIA, then complain the SCP
guys are questioning David.

You want easy? ED or AL.

You want the SCP crutch guys to find you and you’re passionate about using RIA?
 Stick with Ria. Forever.

You still wants a ladies name but something less confusing? JANE, DAWN, DON
(iteration, hi), JO, whatever.

People ask me to repeat MIKE, but it is what it is.

You're kidding right?

You can use any old name you want. I've copied "OOKPIK, JESUISCHARLIE,
ZIG.you name it)

You're not bound by law to use your own name Ria. C'mon. Don't be a cry
baby !

You email the SCP guy, tell him you're going to use "ED" (or BOB, or AL or
JOHN)

and from then on, use that name. The guys who all use a fresh SCP will get
it.

The guys who user an older version of SCP as a crutch will easily copy a 2
or 3 letter name.

I think you're just stirring the grits.

If you are bound and determined to use your own name, suck it up and deal
with the repeats.

Mike VE9AA...

Last time I used David (in honor of K3LP) and people asked for repeats.

This is literally the only contest where this happens.

I can only assume they were using a partial check file or something.
