Ken,

You may have missed the point of the first two paragraphs. It wasn't to
discuss where and when to use 2BSIQ. The point was that anyone that wants
to take the time to get really good at it (really just CW in general) can
then easily get their foot in the door at a big multi op which could lead
to single op opportunities. There are many "unfair" variables that make a
contest result. But the only fair variable is the ability to develop a
skill that is independent of your location or your antennas.

"Success with the development of 2BSIQ isn't determined by proximity to
Europe, massive stacks, or operating from a 3 point location." The word
development was meant to show that you can hone that skill from your couch
without even owning a radio.

I've been incredibly lucky operating from N2QV. There are usually around
30 hours of 2BSIQ opportunities in the big DX contests. Certainly in a
contest like NAQP, 2BSIQ can be utilized by almost anyone, from almost
anywhere, that already has two radio capability.
