Note to N5OT and K9YC, can't you guys just get with The Program? Adjusting
the knobs on your "radio" sounds like anarchy to me.

YES! I do it slightly differently, setting RIT a bit off frequency with XIT
OFF when S&P. That way, I can tweak it if needed for better copy of his
exchange. Doesn't matter in WW, but can be a big deal in SS, where you
actually have to copy the exchange.
