The way I figure it, in today's push-button/mouse-click world of radio
operating, if you tell your CW pileup UP5 or U5, half of them won't know
what you are talking about. The half who do will click their mouse or push
a button and all of them will call you EXACTLY five kHz up. So that splits
your pileup in half. I suppose that's "progress."
