I agree with the concern voiced by K9YC regarding QSO party rules that create the wrong incentives for in-state participants. That is the reason we (TxQP) monitor the percent of QSOs that are Texas-to- Texas each year when the final report is prepared. However, I'm afraid that the actual data indicates that K9YC is missing out on some Texas QSO party fun as the data from three recent TxQP events indicates that the Texas-Texas QSO percentage varies from about 7% to 18%.
