I have a very vexing problem with my DVP. I programmed the record
functions this morning with F3 as "59 Connecticut" and of course F5 gives
the guys call which for purposes of this test was "G3FXB".

When I hit INSERT which is supposed to be F5 + F3 or "G3FXB 59
Connecticut", instead I hear G3FXB 3Alpha 3Alpha 3 59 Connecticut.
There is NO 3Alpha in any of the recorded messages.

There also is another weird glitch (maybe related?). When I use the F5 to
give someone's call. let's say ES3RA (not real call) here is what I hear:

Echo Sugar 3 3 3 Radio Alpha.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER I press F5 again, I will hear Echo Sugar 3 Radio Alpha, as
expected.

Thinking this might have been a recording problem with the individual
prefixes/letters, when I re-recorded them and then played them back (they
sounded as expected when playing back JUST the letter or prefix), there was
NO difference, meaning the same weird glitches appeared as ES333RA and G3FXB
3A3A3 59 Connecticut.

I don't understand how DVP can store and playback more than one "setting"
for each prefix and letter/number. I also do not understand where this 3A
stuff is coming from.

I had this problem in CQWW SSB also and I had to stop using the DVP to give
the exchange.

Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? I have set up Ramdrive for
the prefix/letter/number recordings and have plenty of space left so I don't
think it is a RAM or Harddrive memory issue.

Thanks for your help.
