Thanks to everyone who has offered ideas! Though I am still going to
suggest this as a feature change by writing a bug report... as K1EA has
gone to HC8 a few times, he probably can relate to the scenario that I will
be going into in about a week:
5 guys are going to 6Y. We will have 6 stations and 6 computers. All
computers will have 6 BIN files, one for each op/6Y5, and one contest BIN
file. If the contest was area selective, one would want to change the DTA
file a few minutes before the contest when you bring up the contest BIN
file. It would be neat if I could set up the BIN files ahead of time (which
I do), so that it knew which .DTA file to select. It's just one less thing
to worry about before the contest hits... not so bad when you have one
file, but doing this x 6 is a pain. (as you M/M station owners probably
know)
I guess for the mean time I will just write a batch file called "dtarenam"
or similar to copy/rename the .DTA files.
