CVB on Generic Sound Cards?

     Does anyone have experience with the Contest Voice Blaster on a 
     generic sound card?  I have been looking at multimedia PC notebooks 
     which have "Sound Blaster compatible" audio.  I am also unsure of the 
     difference between "business audio" and stereo audio, and how it might 
     effect the audio quality of the voice output/recording.
     
     Any thoughts?
