NA RELEASE 9.27 IS NOW AVAILABLE

NA version 9.27 is now available on the LTA BBS. This is a major new
version which has been in development over the holidays. Many thanks
to
KM9P for his hard work in helping to test this new version.

Version 9.27 corrects the following reported bugs:

    - Alaska was not removed from the country the list correctly in
cases
where it is not a country (i.e. NAQP) unless the base prefix in
COUNTRY.DAT was "KL7" instead of the new "KL". Now both work
OK.
    - Stations signing /4U (such as 9A3A/4U) would not score
correctly. The
reason for this is that 4U is not a country, but rather a
designator
used for stations that are part of United Nations operations.
The
complete call of the UN station can now be entered in
COUNTRY.DAT
under the appropriate country and will score correctly.
    - /MM stations in CQ 160 were scored in their home country.
    - A "DX" non-multiplier could not be worked in contests that allow
it
      (i.e., NAQP, Sprint).
    - Check Partial would not check the correct partial after moving
out
of the callsign field then back in without killing line and
starting
      over.
    - Using a COM port to key would disable a computerized radio
interface
connected to that same port. Now keying and radio interface can
be
      enabled on the same port.
    - Remote antenna control would disrupt CW keying on the same port.
    - Manual CW sent from the paddles would not cancel CQ Repeat.
    - Revised NAQP.MLT for Canadian province mults and correct
abbreviations
(was formerly VE call areas). Somebody slipped in a rules
change...
    - Revised .MLT files where needed to add the plethora of VE
prefixes.

Thanks to all the users that reported these bugs.

The following new features have been added:

    - New function CALLSIGN DITTO, for moving stations from band to
band.
Pressing the quote or ditto key while in the callsign field
copies
the callsign from the previous QSO.
    - Modified LPT pin definition for remote antenna and voicekeyer
control
match TR-Log for commonality. Remote antenna control and an
external
voicekeyer can now share an LPT.
    - CW keying port can now be changed while the program is running
(exit
      and restart no longer required).
    - CW paddle input port is now selected separately from the keying
port,
      so can be different.
    - CW Transmit Control (i.e., CW PTT) is now available when keying
with
a COM port. CW Transmit Control can also be disabled to prevent
interfering with other features connected to the port (perhaps a
      port-powered radio interface?).
    - Added inverted keying choice for use with COM ports to allow a
simple
      interface for negative-keyed radios.
