We are about to add some hf and vhf/uhf gear to our 1997 Explorer for emergency radio use. Anyone have any hints or horror stories about 500watts (hf) and recent Fords? Any hints as to where and how antennas should be mounted? I consider this an RFI issue, since R Ford's Involved. Also, I don't want sudden changes in the engine management system to occur when I hit the F1 key too often.
