Boy, is this right, and it's why stubs and/or bandpass filters remain essential. WE9V did a rather neat article in NCJ a while ago in which he quantified the available isolation in his station, and all the numbers are much less than even moderately careful relay box design will deliver. W2VJN of TopTen Devices has done something similar in his book on interstation interference, plus he gives some good ideas on how much is enough and how to get there.
