I have one and love it. It goes in my luggage (or briefcase) when I travel. In addition to chasing RFI, it's an excellent DSP-based RX. More or less continuous coverage from about 250 kHz to about 22 MHz, plus FM broadcast. For another $80, the PL660 adds SSB detection and AM on the aircraft band (above the FM band). My neighbor bought the 660 after I showed him my 380. It's larger, heavier, probably a better radio, and the AM around 120 MHz may be even better for chasing power-related RFI (arcing on power poles).

But the 380 should be entirely adequate for chasing stuff in the house, where most sources are switching PSUs, noisy motor controllers, and microprocessor clocks. .

BTW -- if you have a SteppIR, be sure to check out the PSU for the controller. The original 33V PSU was mondo noisy, the replacement they sent me a year ago (two years after I complained) was a lot better, but still rather noisy on 160M.
