I have a Samsung 8000 series 55" LED model...about 3 years old now. Any RF from any hf source in the house or the car drives the set nuts. I was told that the rf comes in through some control panel related to the 'knobs' or adjustment panel to the lower right side of the set. Not sure if that is correct but for sure, when I operate my wife has to go in another room to watch tv....the set in the living room is DONE. - Mike

I use a 40" Samsung LED tv as a computer monitor, and have a 55" one for tv... neither one is bothered by the rf here, even with 1.5kw on 160m where they are in the middle of the pair of inverted L's.

The part of the monitors that blow up with RF is the touch controls.
That makes sense, in a perverse way -- they work by capacitive coupling,
so they are high-Z and thus difficult to bypass.

I was concerned about that, but no problem for quite a few years.
